One of the best parts about living in Toronto is that I get that big city life while still being super close to a ton of cool nature and activities. This means that I can try out any number of cool activities all year around! This morning me and my boyfriend had decided to try out snowmobiling for the first time. Toronto has actually had a pretty mild, snow-less, winter but luckily this wasn’t the case for the rest of Ontario! About 1.5 hours north of Toronto, is the town of Collingwood. It’s a smaller town mainly known for being by the Blue Mountain Skiing Resort but it has a ton of winter (and summer activities) including snowmobiling, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing!
We opted for an 1-hour tour with Ride On Rentals using only one snowmobile. I’m as adventurous as the next girl but I wanted to focus on the experience and not figuring out the driving so it worked out perfectly for me! It was a guided tour so there was minimal risks of getting lost. Our guide took us through big and clear open fields and beautifully snow covered forests. The experience was beautiful enough to almost make you forget about the cold. It’s something I highly recommend doing as a small escape during the winter months. Check out the pictures below and just make sure you bundle up when you go on your ride!
I went snowmobiling in Sweden last year. It was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. I’d love to try it again and this looks like a lovely spot for it.

Snowmobiling looks like so much fun. I would love to do it one day. You would think being from Canada we would have already done it!
